Schoolclasses Project

Zahra Lfil & Exp Inc

In the Schoolclasses Project, two classes—one in the Netherlands and one in Morocco—come together to keep a Tamagotchi named IMI alive for seven weeks. This playful challenge fosters collaboration and cultural exchange as the classes work together to help IMI learn what it means to be “alive.” Each week, IMI poses a new question, guiding the students to reflect on meaningful concepts and share their insights on a digital platform. By the end of the project, IMI has gathered knowledge from both classes, preparing to step into the world with a greater understanding of life and faith.

The Schoolclasses Project connects with the themes of FAITH, as both emphasize the search for meaning and the power of collaboration. Just as the performance explores different cultural perspectives on faith, IMI invites students to reflect on their own beliefs while learning from one another.

What makes this project special is its innovative approach to education—using a digital Tamagotchi as a facilitator. By combining theatrical educational methods with technology, it creates an equal starting point for students in both countries, encouraging them to engage meaningfully despite geographical barriers.
